How Paged Creates Fire Retardant Plywood
Three distinct impregnation methods engineered for different performance requirements.
Complete Immersion Method
The entire panel is submerged in a sustainable fire retardant solution with no harmful compounds. This method ensures the fire retardant penetrates all layers of the plywood uniformly, providing consistent protection throughout the entire cross-section. Key advantage: The panel retains its fire retardancy performance even after drilling, cutting, and machining.
Products: Paged BirchPly FR
Surface Impregnation
A non-pressure surface treatment method applied to hardwood plywood and to thick-layer pine plywood. The fire retardant is applied to the outer veneer layers, providing the required fire classification while preserving the exceptional mechanical properties of birch, beech and pine plywood.

Multi-Layer Protection - DryGuard FR
A world-first innovation combining fire retardancy with weather resistance. The multi-layer approach integrates fire retardant compounds, fire-retardant adhesive, hydrophobic coating, UV protection, and mold resistance into a single panel system. The key R&D challenge: safe fire retardants are typically moisture-sensitive and easily washed out. Paged LabTech solved this through proprietary compound formulations and a layered protection system.

Paged LabTech - R&D Centre
One of the most advanced research and development centres for innovative wood-based materials in the world. Established in 2019, with a new facility opened in 2023.
Sustainably Sourced Baltic Timber
All Paged FR products are manufactured from FSC and PEFC certified wood sourced from sustainable forests in the Baltic Sea region. Pinus Sylvestris pine and hardwoods (birch, beech) are selected for their optimal structural properties and fire retardant compatibility.
